eBay Selling Tips - Increasing Your Sales On Ebay

By Leslie Yc

Have you been dreaming of making easy money without working too hard in your job? Many people are using eBay to earn that little extra bit of cash, and now you can too! Here are some eBay selling tips that will certainly help to make sure your eBay items sell well.

Always aim to receive positive feedback from all your eBay buyers as it helps build up your reputation on eBay. By setting up an 'About Me' page, you can introduce yourself and let your customers get to know a little more about you and your eBay business. Your customers want to deal with a seller in which they can trust. Although setting up an 'About Me' page is optional, the benefits it brings are bountiful.

Once you have earned a good reputation and an interested buyer comes along, wanting to buy something from your sales page. The wise thing to do is not to scare him or her away with the exorbitant price you are asking for. Keep in mind that you want to make a profit on eBay, but by selling them at a high price, it turns off many potential customers and it thus will decrease your chances of selling your products.

Next, make sure that you have accurately and honestly described all the items you are putting up for auction on eBay. This is a time-consuming task but it has to be done if you want your sales to be successful. Always state the condition of your products and all the detailed description of it. To support your descriptions, add in photographs of your products. Do note that this feature on eBay is not free, but do take it as an investment. Otherwise, there are other external picture hosting websites on the Internet namely photobucket, which allows you to link the photos to your eBay sales page. Make sure your pictures are clear and potential buyers are able to see it clearly. Many items go unsold on eBay because they do not come with detailed description and pictures at all.

So you have made a successful sale, next is payment. There are various payment methods that you can use and the most popular method of payment on eBay is none other than PayPal. PayPal is a safe online payment method as it does not disclose any personal or account information. Do note that not all eBay buyers use PayPal. However, there are other methods you might consider accepting other than PayPal, which includes personal checks and money orders. By offering a wider variety of payment options, more eBay buyers will prefer shopping with you.

Try to implement the above-mentioned tips and you may just see an increase in sales on your eBay auctions. Always think from an eBay buyer's perspective and you will never go wrong from there.
