Dealing With Feedback On eBay

By Carl Ferraro

If you are determined to learn how to work with eBay and learn its many functions, along with giving good customer service and satisfaction, one can be a very effective user of this service. Many people sell on eBay or simply dropship, but others also do not combine these two. Feedback can be a mysterious thing, and it can be overwhelming to begin to learn this service.

I would like to go into more detail on the function of Feedback on eBay and how it is significant to new eBay users because this is one of the primary things people associate with when thinking of eBay.

eBay is the most expanse and highly visible auction arena on the Internet. It is gigantic. Thousands of sales occur on an hourly basis. eBay speedily determined these sales were expanding so exponentially that there was no hope for efficiently and effectively keeping an overall record. And, even individual transactions were challenging.

This was all a little unexpected and they soon realized that they had two options: either let it continue, being a crazy, disorganized site that would lose credibility with the more untrusting users they had or recreate it and give it some order and organization so it could be a trusted site and continue to have success.

They were able to create a simple ranking system, which they called "feedback" in which all you need to do is rank the user that you were dealing with during your transaction. It was kept relatively simple as essentially you just leave a positive or negative feedback and no details of the transaction.

As far as this transaction goes in general, it is pretty straight forward. There is also an eBay DSR ranking which allows one to give more detail.

This function is a great way to keep everyone organized instead of the past, where buyers controlled most of the transaction. Ever since feedback has been established, reputation is now something that both buyers and sellers must keep in consideration.

Lack of a good reputation results in a great decrease in sales. Organization assures that a past unpredictable climate will be more successful in the present and future.
